THE EVOLVED NUMERICAL CONTROL FOR THE BENDING MACHINES
The interface of CNC904s shows up with a captivating graphic, well-finished design, offering a standard menu with commands and a reduced number of keys. These features make the CNC904 essential in its own style and in the same time suitable to interact with the different operation phase during the bending activity. In addition, there is an integrated CAM, that simplify the issue of the machine operator. The CAM, indeed, is able to resolve both technological and geometric problems. Defining the technology, it makes the materials table available that is accessible directly using a touch screen: through only one “touch”, it is possible to define the main features of a material and its change. With the “virtual keyboard”, the data addition becomes faster and movement of the screen during the process is possible avoiding the use of hands.
In order to define the geometry, it is supposed that the main priority is that to identify the shape of the bending profile, and only in a second time the measurements. For the profile set-up it is enough to touch the screen in any points, and then in the other, base on the estimated profile shape. In this phase it is very important to declare if the bend side that is being created with the touch, whether linear or circular, in cases of bend fold. The next operation, which can still be done simultaneously with the touch, is to define the measurements, both of the lengths of the bending sides, and of the angles that they form between them, using the virtual keyboard technique mentioned previously.. The variation of the measures can also be performed by touching the side to be modified, it can be shortened or lengthened by sliding the “length” tool along the axis of the segment, or if you want to change the angle, drag the instrument clockwise or anticlockwise “angle”.
